On June 1st, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie will receive an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts degree from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), one of the world’s top educational institutions for art and design.
Ms. Adichie is being honored by RISD for her “ability to cultivate a uniquely personal artistic vision, and her deep commitment to using the arts to interrogate issues of major social and political import”.
