Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie delivers Class Day address and receives honorary doctorate from Yale University

In May 2019, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie became the first person in the history of Yale University to serve as the Class Day speaker and receive an honorary doctorate during the same commencement weekend. Ms. Adichie was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters degree “in appreciation for [her] superb talent and leadership in literature and the public sphere.”
