Zemaye Reviews: MAC MINERALIZE RICH LIPSTICK IN ‘BE A LADY’

A lipstick should never just be about colour. Wearing lipstick should be an experience. Lipstick should give colour that lasts and should feel as soothing as a welcome. Lipstick should brighten the face and the spirit. Even though I always put on lip balm first, all my MAC lipsticks are never smooth on my lips. They feel dry. Sometimes they ball up, and leave ugly little bits of colour behind. They make me long to wipe my lips. In general, my MAC lipsticks are much better on colour than they are on smoothness.

MAC mineralize rich is slightly smoother than others I have. ‘Be a Lady’ is a lovely colour. A sort of coral. I got it as a gift from my friend P. I love the softness of the pink-coral against my NC50 skin (watch out for upcoming posts on my Perfect Foundation Quest) but it is not smooth on my lips. It doesn’t glide on. After two hours, my lips felt rough and unfresh. I’ll keep this, but only for the colour, and certainly not in my Favorites Bag.
